Nimmo —Phillipson The wedding took place recently at the Presbyterian Church, Springfield, of Margaret May, eldest daughter ol Mr and Mrs J. Phillipson, Kowai Bush, and John Finlay, eldest son of Mrs and the late Mr J. Nimmo, Springfield. The Rev. P. Keene officiated, and Mrs Keene was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of white georgette. The frock featured a square lace yolk, full bishop sleeves with lace inset, and a low waistline from which the fullygathered skirt formed a long train. Her embroidered tulle veil, .held in place with a heart halo of georgette, formed a second train. She wore a triple string of pearls and carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums, freesias, and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by Miss Judith Marsh, who wore a frock of pink georgette, featuring an off-the-shouldcr neck-line, with tight-fitting bodice and skirt gathered fully from a low waist-line. Her pink embroidered shoulder veil was held in place with a heart halo of pink georgette. She wore matching mittens and carried a bouquet of pink and mauve gladioli, carnations, and maidenhair fern. Mr Norman Thomas was best man. During the signing of the register, Miss Marion McDougall sang "Because.’’ The guests were received at the reception by the bride’s mother who wore a black velvet frock with matching accessories and a shoulder spray of pink and mauve carnations and maidenhair fern. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother who wore a. blue frock trimmed with sequins and matching accessories. Her shoulder spray was pink carnations and maidenhair fern. This being the first wedding in the church, the bride and groom were presented with a Bible. Mr and Mrs J. F. Nimmo later left by car, the bride wearing a pink and black frock under a black edge-to-edge coat and black accessories. She carried a fur coat.
