Mrs L. Biddington left this morning for Christchurch. Mrs W. Stewart left by this moring s express for Christchurch.' Sir Henry Tizard, chief scientific adviser to the British Government, will leave Britain for Australia on October 14 by the Orion and is expected to arrive in New Zealand by air from Australia bewteen December 12 and 18. Sir Henry Tizard will spend a fortnight to three weeks in New Zealand discussing scientific defence questions with the New Zealand Government and New Zealand scientific authorities.—London, October 8.
