Itinerary For Royal Family’s Tour Of N.Z. Provides For Stay In Greymouth

The Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, today released the details ol the place-to-place itinerary which has been approved by His Majesty the King for his tour of New Zealand. This itinerary is now final and no variation can be made. The programme containing details of the functions and events for each centre has not yet been settled, but will be released at a later date. Following is the itinerary: —

Monday. February 28. — Morning: The Royal Family will arrive at Wellington by H.M.S. Vanguard. Tuesday, March I.—At Wellington. Wednesday, March 2.— At Wellington (rest day). Thursday, March 3.— Morning: Fly to New Plymouth. Afternoon: Motor io Wanganui, with a stop at H.iwera. Stay the night at Wanganui. Friday, March 4. —Morning: Motor to Palmerston North. Afternoon: Motor to Wellington. Saturday, March s.— Morning: Motor to Masterton and return during the afternoon. Sunday, March 6.— At Wellington. Monday, March 7.— Morning: Depart by H.M.N.Z.S. Bellona for Picton. Afternoon: Motor to Blenheim. A short stop. Fly to Nelson and stay the night there. Tuesday, March B.— Morning: Fly to Westport. Afternoon: Motor to Greymouth, with a short stop at Reefton Stay the night at Greymouth. Wednesday, March 9. — Morning: Motor to the Westport aerodrome, via the Coast road. Afternoon: Fly to Dunedin. Wednesday, March 23.—Morning: Motor to Auckland, with a stop at Ngaruawahia for a Maori function and a stop at Huntly. Thursday, March 24.— At Auckland. Friday, March 25.— At Auckland. Saturday, March 26.— At Auckland. Sunday, March 27.— Afternoon: Leave by H.M.S. Vanguard for the Bay of Islands and whilst there reside on board the Vanguard.
