INDIAN TROOPS IN KASHMIR CHECK PAKISTAN FORCES

(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) NEW DELHI, August 23. Indian troops in Kashmir checked the advance by pro-Pakistan forces in the area of Uri on the main road leading from Pakistan to Srinagar, says the Associated Press, quoting communiques.
