GOLF WAITAHU CLUB OPENS NEW SEASON
The Waitahu Golf Club opened its new season during the week-end. when a mixed Canadian foursome match was played over 12 holes. The president. Mr J. Cunningham, declared the season open and the first ball was driven by Mrs Cunningham. Results of the foursome match were; —Miss L. King and C. D. Doyle 52-7-45; Miss Williams and the Rev. Father Fletcher 61-14-.47; Mr and Mrs G. August 59-11-48. The following matches have Peen set down for this month: —Sunday: stroke match; April 17: stroke match; April 25: four-ball best-ball bogey match.
