From the Cornbelt of Illinois, Miss Edna M. Gueffroy, who is working for a doctor of philosophy degree arrived by the Skymaster at Auckland today to writ a dissertation on the historical geography of New Zealand to 11)40. She will work in the university college libraries at Auckland and Wellington and hopes to visit Christchurch and Dunedin. Miss Gueffroy was accompanied by Miss Laura Eyestone, a fellow teacher from Illinois State Normal University. —(P.A.)
