Mr and Mrs O. McLean returned on Saturday from Dunedin. Dr Violet Coates has left for Christchurch to attend a post-gradu-ate course at Christchurch Hospital. Mr V. Messenger, who has been handicapper for the Grevrnouth Cycling Club for the past 12 years, was presented with a fountain pen on Saturday evening by members of the club in appreciation of his long service. Mr P. Duffy made the presentation. Prior to his departure for Australia later this week, where he will compete in cycling events, Mr H. Pratt, of Greymouth, was met on Saturday evening by members of the Greymouth Cycling Club and presented with a fountain pen by Mr T. Turtill, the oldest member of the club.
