Food Shortage In Moscow
Diplomatic dispatches reaching Washington from Moscow report that there have been bread lines of unprecedented size in Moscow this week, and that there is evidence of a serious shortage of bread and sugar resulting from a breakdown in the food distribution. It is understood that the situation has been made more difficult by people coming into Moscow from outlying regions looking for bread. — Washington, March 14.
