Blaketown Home And School Association
A report from the headmaster, Mr E. R. Darracott, that there had been a breakdown in the film projector which necessitated extensive repairs was received at a meeting of the Blaketown Home and School Association. This was being attended to as speedily as possible but prevented the showing of the film specially arranged for the meeting. Mr Darracott also reported that the football grounds had been cut by the Greymouth Borough Council and that there had been a visit from the Education Board’s architect who had suggested alterations to the frontage. The association, however, did not approve of these alterations and it was decided to notify the School Committee of its decision in this matter. .’ Mr J. Walton' presided and there was a good attendance. Members stood in’silence as a mark of respect to the late Mr J. Stubbs. The date of the children’s fancy dress Ball was fixed for April 30, the headmaster being granted power to use his discretion in the arranging of this event.
