COMMERCIAL GOOD STOCK SALE AT WATAROA YARDS
Despite the uncertain conditions in connection with butchers refusing to buy fat cattle at auction and its ultimate reflection on the store cattle market, there was a good sale at the Wataroa Saleyards yesterday. The yarding comprised approximately 900 head of fat and store cattle and practically everything was sold by auction. The yarding accomodation was taxed to the utmost and there was a representative attendance of buyers. Prices were slightly lower m some cases but this was only in respect to coloured lines. Straight bred lots sold up to late rates, 18 mos steers being in very good demand. Messis W. D.
