TWO KILLED AND 16 INJURED IN MOTOR-BUS CRASH
(Rec. 11.40 a.m) SYDNEY,.-This Day. When a motor-bus crashed through the side of a railway bridge and fell 20 feet on to the line at Talofa, near Lismore, two persons were killed and 16 injured. A man and a woman were killed/ Another youth, who has a severe fracture of the skull, is not expected to live. According to survivors the brakes failed on a steep descent. A passenger, who was later killed, went to the assistance of the driver by operating the -handbrake, but the vehicle continued to gather speed. Several turns were negotiated safely but the bus skidded on the bridge and struck the side and the stout wooden railing transfixed the body of the vehicle, causing many injuries.
