DEATH SENTENCE IMPOSED FOR MASS BEHEADINGS
(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) SINGAPORE, November 13. A war crimes court at Changi sentenced to death Warrant Officer Hikiji Susumu for participating in the beheading of" the American crew of a B29'shot down over Johore and the •crew of a British submarine. Both mass beheadings were carried out at Singapore shortly before the end of the Pacific war. ,
