FRENCH CABINET REORGANISED: RAMADIER’S ACTION
PARIS, October 23
All the Ministers in the French Cabinet yesterday placed their resignations in the hands of the Prime Minister (M Ramadier) to leave him free to take any action he considered necessary.
Today M Ramadiei- announced the following new Cabinet:— Prime Minister: M Ramadier (Socialist). Foreign Minister: M Georges Bidault (M.R.P.) Armed Forces: M. Pierre Teitgen (M.R.P.) Agriculture: M Marcel Roclore (Independent Conservative). Justice: M Andre Marie (Radical). Economic Affairs, Public Works, and Transport: M Jules Moch (Socialist)).
Finance: M Robert Schuman (M.R.P.) Interior: M Eduard Depreux (Socialist).
Industry and Commerce: M Robert Lacoste (Socialist). Education: M. Marcel Naegelen (Socialist). Minister of State: M Yvon Delbos (Radical). Secretary of State (Colonies): M Paul Bechard (Socialist). Labour and Social Security: M Daniel Mayer (Socialist).
Colonies will be attached to the Prime Minister’s office.
M Ramadier emphasised it was the same Government, altered to concentrate authority in a smaller number of hands, thereby enabling rapid decisions to be reached.
