CHOLERA PRECAUTIONS NOT NECESSARY IN N.Z.
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Health Department, at present, does not consider it necessary to take pracautions similar to those being imposed in Australia against the entry of cholera, stated an officer of the department. Passengers arriving in New Zealand by sea would have more than the four days’ incubation period, he said, while overseas passengers by air, via Australia, would undergo the precautions in the Commonwealth.
In addition, the extra time taken -to fly to New Zealand would be another safeguard.
