BOXING Good Bouts Staged At Technical School’s Tourney

For the first time since the inception of the event several years ago. the annual boxing tournament conducted by the Greymouth Technical High School was held under openair conditions yesterday afternoon. The tournament is run in conjunction with the school’s annual sports. The main feature of the tournament was the bout between C. Shearer, 1 Ost-61b, and D. Gibson, lOst 41b. Both boj’s packed solid punches and displayed an amazing ability to absorb punishment. The decision of a draw was a popular one. The referee was Mr J. Finlay., Result’s were: —T.
