GENERAL TRANSPORT STRIKE IN PARIS
PARIS, October 14.
Parisians had to walk to work today after a general strike at midnight of all Paris bus and underground railway workers. The Prime Minister (Mr Ramadier) in a broadcast speech, appealed to the public to maintain order during the strike. He said that the Government Would use every makeshift to provide workers with emergency transport during the strike, which he condemned as “an aggression against the Republic.”
