Death Of Shearer

A verdict of death from exposure after alcoholic insensibility was returned by the Coroner (Mr E. L. Waltori) at Gisborne yesterday at an inquest into the death of Jimmy Rawiri, a Maori shearer, at Tahunga, on Saturday. A companion said he saw Rawiri with several other Maoris in a drunken' state. Rawiri lay down to sleep and was dead when the witness saw him again in the same spot.—(P.A.)
