The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— Situation: A ridge of high pressure is approaching New Zealand from the south; a depression -is south of Tasmania.
Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow: Moderate variable winds, northerlies freshening at times tomorrow; weather fair at first, but occasional rain developing tomorrow south of Hokitika; temperatures becoming milder.
