BRITAIN IS NOT IMPRESSED BY ALBANIAN CLAIMS
(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 14. A Foreign Office spokesman an-, nounced that Britain had refused the’j Albanian request for the surrender ; of persons in Albania alleged to be: collaborators. The British Note admitted that J Britain had undertaken at the time; of the Moscow conference in 1945 to j surrender war criminals .to allied i nations, but Albania had not gained the status of an allied country. Albania’s accusations w r ere unsupported by evidence and seemed to be directed only against persons opposed ■ to the present regime in Albania. Britain was not impressed by the importance of cases that the Albanian authorities had not considered worth raising until two years after the end of hostilities.
