ATHLETICS Conference On Mahar Cup Cancelled
At a meeting of the Westport Athletic and Cycling Club on Monday evening, agreement was expressed with a letter from the Marlborough Club stating that it could see no useful purpose in sending delegates to a special conference of clubs at Murchison to draw up a programme for the Mahar Cup meeting, which should have been attended to at the annual conference at Greymoulh. The decision w.as prompted by tiro submission of the 1933 programme with three additions, which was considered to be quite satisfactory to the club, as it differed very little fj’om that submitted for consideration at Murchison. The conference, which was to have been held last Saturday, was cancelled by the Mahar Cup. secretary. Mr C. Douthett.
