BOXING Cos Hodge Gains Points Decision Over Hoffman

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, October 14. In a professional heavy-weight boxing contest last evening, Ces Hodge of Australia, beat D’Arcy Hoffman, of Dunedin, on points. In the first four rounds Hodges knocked Hoffman down five times and steadily increased his lead on points over the next five 'rounds. In the last round Hoffman made a great bid to win and knocked Hodges down twice for a count of nine.
