They stayed at Glen jnnes and wanted an early breakfast. But, realising the staff difficulties, decided not to ask for it, but to be at the table as soon as breakfast was served. Actually they were seated two minutes before the bell went. But they got served last. When they asked why, when they were in first they were not served first, the waitress said, acidly: “Yes, you were first in, but you came in before the bell.” —-The Seeker
