Government To Obtain Report On All Aerodromes
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government has decided to set up a committee under the chairmanship of Sir Leonard M. Isitt to report on the number and location' of aerodromes necessary for civil aviation and the work required to bring the existing aerodromes up to a satisfactory standard for internal air services. Announcing this today, the Minister in charge of Civil Aviation, Mr Jones, said the Government had been giving a great deal of attention to the need foi’ long-term planning of development work necessary for civil aerodromes in New Zealand. Personnel of Committee The committee will report on such other aspects of aerodrome planning as may be referred to it. It will comprise the Director of Civil Aviation, Mr E. A. Gibson, the Commissioner of Works, Mr E. R. McKillop, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice-
