MOTHER AND SON AS RIVALS AT BILLIARDS
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The world famous billiard player, Horace Lindrum, of Australia, who arrived in the Athenic today to tour' New Zealand, had a keen rival on board, who also lays claim to fame 1 with the cue and ball. What is more, the rival is a woman. She will return to Britain to compete in the women’s world billiards championship. She was asked to remain in Britain and become a member of the Billiards Control Council, but decided to make the trip to help New Zealand and Australia to become leading countries in the game.
Lindrum is not perturbed at this competition, In fact he likes it. The woman is his mother, Mrs Violet Lindrum.
