NEW PASSENGER LINER ARRIVES AT AUCKLAND
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day The second of four 15,000-ton passenger liners built for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company since the end of the war, the Athenic, arrived on her maiden voyage this morning, from London, via Panama, with more 80 passengers. Commanded by Contain D. Aitchison, the Athenic is'a sister'ship to the Corinthic, which visited Auckland in June. The quartete of sister ships will be completed by the Gothic and Ceramic, which are being built -in the North of England.
