Mr W. J. Ellis, of Sydney, who was formerly general manager of Gold Mines (N.Z.) Ltd, at Greymouth, is visiting Grey mouth. Mr D. E. Willis, of the staff of the Customs Department, Greymouth, left this morning on transfer to Wellington. He will be replaced by Mr D. E. Potter, of Wellington. Yesterday he was met by representatives of Greymouth importing firms and was presented with a pipe, the presentation being made by Mr C. Heaphy. Mr Willis was also bidden farewell by members of the Customs Department staff and was presented with a gift.
