DEATH SENTENCES IN JUGOSLAVIA
(Rec. 11 a.m.) BELGRADE, August 12
The Supreme Court sentenced to death by shooting three of 15 Slovene intellectuals who were charged with spying. The remaining twelve were sentenced to varying terms of imprisonment. All wore charged with giving information about the political, military and economic situation in Jugoslavia to an “espionage centre” in Austria and to the representatives of certain foreign-Powers.
