GANDHI TO LIVE IN CALCUTTA RIOT AREA
(Rec. 11 a.m.) CALCUTTA, August 12. Mr Gandhi has decided to live in the Calcutta riot area. He is leaving the suburb of Sodepur, eight miles from Calcutta, and will stay in a house in East Calcutta, which a Moslem formerly occupied. Bengal’s Moslem Prime Minister, Mr H. S. Suhrawardy, has. agreed to live with Mr Gandhi in the same humble worker’s hut and work with him for. communal unity. Mr Suhrawardy said: “We have got to change the citizens’ psychology. I cannot think of any other way.” ____________
