RULES ADOPTED FOR NEW FIFTH GRADE

A number of recommendations concorning the newly-instituted fifthgrade competition were adopted by the West Coast Rugby Union’s Junior Advisory Board this week. These are as follows: — 1. That, in the case of players from primary schools, there should be no weight limit. For players from the secondary schools the standard limit should be eight stone—this to be reconsidered on the basis of experience in the first two matches. ' 2. That all clubs (Technical, Celtic, United, Star, Cobden and Blaketown) should supply a list of all boys whom it is proposed to play in fifth grade, by 10 o’clock on April 19, with adequate indication of age as at April 1, and weights (the latter in the case of secondary schoolboys). Weighing would be carried out by Junior Advisory Board officials on Saturday morning. 3. That similar lists should be made in the third and fourth grades. 4.
