BRITAIN SEEKING MORE TRADE WITH RUSSIA

Tho President of the Board of Trade, Sir Stafford Cripps, announced in the Hcu'e; of Commons that Mr Harold Wilson, Secretary for Overseas Traue would leave for Moscow bn April 18 for an exchange of views on future Anglo-Russian trade. • “ / It v?as not intended that Mr Wilson should at this stage conclude a ini mai trade agreement, he added, but facilitate the negotiation of a contract between buyers and sellers on both sides. Sir Stafford said that Britain was anxious to resume the importation or raw materials, such as timber, and Russia no doubt was anxious to obtain British rna chine ry and eq uipm em for reconstruction.
