Auschwitz Commandant Hanged For His Crimes
(Rec. 1.15 p.m.) HAMBURG, April 15.
Rudolf Hoess, the former commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp, where 4,000,000 people died was hanged at the camp execution place today. A message from Prague states that a court today sentenced to death Harald Wiesmann, former Gestapo chief at Kladne (Czechoslovakia) as responsible for the destruction of Lidice.
