MINERS TO GO TO HEALTH RESORTS

[N.Z.P.A. SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT] LONDON, Apirl 14. “At one time coal owners used to visit Bohemia’s spas for special treatment. I see no reason why their successors should not go there as well,” said Mr Will Lawther, president of the National Union of Mineworkers, commenting upon a report that 5000 British miners are to spend holidays at Czechoslovak thermal resorts, where they will receive treatment for rheumatic complaints. Mr Lawther said that he had arranged the scheme after his visit to Bohemia last summer.
