PERSONAL Ministerial
The Minister of Works, Mr Semple, the Minister of Rehabilitation, Mr Skinner, and the Minister of Lands, Mr Cullen, are visiting the Buller district. The Minister of Transport, Mr J.. O’Brien, left this morning on return to Wellington. He was accompanied by Mrs O’Brien.
Mr J. T. McPhee, West Coast organiser for the Canterbury-West-land Civil Amputees’ Association, returned yesterday from Christchurch, where he, attended a meeting of the association.
Mr T. R. O’Callaghan, who was recently transferred from the staff of the Bank of New Zealand at Greymouth to Westport, has now received advice of his transfer to Auckland, and he will leave next ThursMr G. W. Patterson, of the staff of the Geological Survey Department, Greymouth, who left recently lor Australia, will be replaced at Greymouth by Mi’ A. Beck, who was until recently'engaged in surveying operations in North Auckland. Mr W. D. Fraser, of the locomotive branch of the Railways Department, will leave Otira shortly on transfer, after 22 years in the district. At a social this week, he and Mrs Fraser were bidden farewell by a number of Otra residents and presented with wallets of notes. The following are guests at the Albion Hotel: Messrs G. A. E.
