OBITUARY Mr Daniel Dennehy
The death occurred at Greymouth this morning of Mr Daniel Dennehy, aged 66, after a brief illness. Mr Dennehy was born at Charleston, and resided for the greater part of his life on the West Coast. He worked in the flax milling industry at Barrytown with his brothers for many years. In his youth he was a prominent footballer and represented the South Island in 1906. He is survived by two brothers, Francis and John (Barrytown) and four sisters, Mrs M. Kotlowski and Misses Margaret iind Mary Dennehy (Wellington) and Mrs A. Byrne (Takaka). The funeral will take place at Wellington on Friday. The funeral of Mr Henry Speakman, of Runanga, took place this afternoon at Karoro cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. Silvester.
