BOXING Vic Patrick Seeks Bout For World Title

After disposing of Eddie Marcus in Imin 20sec with a straight left to the jaw, the Australian lightweight, boxing champion, Vic Patrick, said he wanted to contest the world championship. He asked for a concrete promise that Stadiums, Ltd., would match him in a bout for the title. If they were not able to arrange that, he was prepared to go with his wife to America. Patrick said, he believed his form was as good as ever, but that fights were few and far between. A group of sportsmen said after the fight that they were prepared to back Patrick for £5OOO in a world title match. He had now had 50 fights, of which he had won 47.
