BOWLING GREYMOUTH WINS KILGOUR CUP
The Kilgour Cup, presented by Mr A. E. Kilgour, of Greymouth, for annual competition between the Greymouth and Canterbury Bowling Clubs, was won on Saturday by Greymouth. The match, the first since the 1937-38 season, was played at Greymouth, and the home team won by 152 to 129. Canterbury held the trophy previously. BLACKBALL WINS CHAMPION FOURS The West Coast champion-of-champion fours was held on the Cobden Bowling Club’s green on Saturday. After some interesting games the final was played between Blackball and Cobden. Blackball won by 29 points to 6. The Blackball team consisted of Pascoe, Rarity, Mountford, and Hayes, and the Cobden team of Robb, Bennett, Bellamy, and Fairhall. PENNANT CONTESTS HELD AT RUNANGA The West Coast Bowling Centre’s pennant competition was commenced on the Runanga green yesterday. Sixty-four players took part, representing the Blackball, Dunollie, Runanga, Greymouth and Karoro clubs. Mr J. Sharp, vice-president of the centre, welcomed the various clubs. Results were as follows: Blackball C2 (J. Rarity) 21, Dunollie A2 (W. Hillhouse) 25; Blackball B2 (P. Griffen) 21, Karoro B2 (T. Sctheran) 22; Blackball Bl (J. Dodds) 15, Karoro Bl (J.
