MEMORIAL TO PILOT

RUT IN TARARUA RANGE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A high-level hut on Mount Crawford, in the Tararua range, for the use of deer-cullers of the Wild Life Service of the Department of Internal Affairs, is to be named alter and dedicated to the late Mr. O. J. C. Anderson, of Wellington. Mr. Anderson was a pilot of the aerodromes service of the Public Works Department, who recently lost his life in an aircraft crash. He was carrying supplies for men engaged in deer elimination work in Southland. Previously he flew components o* the new hut to the site on Mount Crawford. The hut will be dedicated at a ceremony on a date to be an ’3^§® cl. The Department of Internal Affairs is providing an inscribed tablet to be set up in the hut.
