GO-SLOW POLICY URGED

PROTEST BY OTAHUHU . TRADESMEN RAILWAY TRIBUNAL DECISION (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 13. The adoption of a go-slow policy by all branches of the Railway Tradesmen’s Association as a protest against the decisions of the Railways Industrial Tribunal was advocated at a meeting of the Qtahuhu branch of the association to-day. A resolution passed by the meeting asked the national executive of the association to take action to have the tribunal abolished. The resolution will be forwarded to all branches of the association and to the general secretary in Wellington. A meeting was also held by the Auckland branch of the Railway Tradesmen’s Association. The secretary (Mr. J. Seibert) said: “It was to protest against the findings of the tribunal, but no direction action was taken.” It is unlikely that a meeting of the Auckland branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants will be held to consider the tribunal’s findings. Th’e secretary (Mr. S. P. Gay) said the society would probably be guided by the opinion of its national executive in Wellington, and of other branches in New Zeaalnd. He had received no indication that the policy of the national executive on the question had been determined.
