CROQUET Collinson Banner Match Played
The Haeremai. Croquet Club( Runanga), holder of the Collinson Banner and Cup, recently played the first of a series of matches to be contested by West Coast clubs, when it met the Makura Club. Makura registered 88 points for the day’s play and Haeremai 66. Scores were as follows: — Mesdames Pring and Mercer (Greymouth) defeated Mesdames Wilson and Patterson (Runanga), 26-10. Mesdames Howard and Erickson (Runanga) defeated Mesdames Gunn and McLauchlan (Greymouth), 26-10. Mrs. Mercer (Greymouth) defeated Mrs. Wilson (Runanga), 26-17. Mrs. Pring (Greymouth) defeated Mrs. Howard (Runanga), 26-13.
