Mason Snubs Hollywood.
British star James Mason has turned down Hollywood for the legitimate theatre. He will appear as King David in Jacques Deva’s play, “Bathsheba,” scheduled to open out of town on March 1’ and then move to Broadway. Mason’s wife, Pamela Kellino, will play opposite him, taking the Bathsheba vole. Although Mason had signed no contracts, Hollywood and filmdom’s Roz. Russell (who thought she had him for “Mourning Becomes Electra”) feel snubbed.
