THYSSEN RELEASED
GERMAN INDUSTRIAL MAGNATE MUNICH, Feb. 9. German officials reported that the Americans have released Fritz Thyssen, pre-war German industrial magnate, as a result of the decision not to try him before the War Crimes Court. . ' The American War Crimes' Tribunal at Nuremberg had held Thyssen as a likely witness, in the trial of five German industrialists.
