STOLEN PAINTINGS
government seizure in OHIO (Reed. 1 Feb. 10. The Attorney-General, Mr. Tom Clark, announced that the Go y e ™" went seized three paintings at the Davton (Ohio) Art Institute, including a Rembrandt self-portrait valued at 140.000 dollars. . Mr Clark said the paintings were stolen from the Weimar Museumrm 1922, and were brought to New Yoik bv two German seamen in 19J4. He added that a Dayton resident, who was not identified, purchased the paintings from the seamen known a that they were stolen property.
