M.C.C. v. Auckland.
The New Zealand Cricket Council has announced that as the M.C.C. team will not leave New Zealand until Tuesday, April 1, the manager had agreed to an alteration of dates of the match against Auckland. The game will now be played on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, March 28, 29 and 31. Dates for other matches remain as previously announced. Texas Golf Championship. Ed Oliver won the Texas open golf championship with a score of 265 for 72 holes, one stroke ahead of Jimmy Demaret. Harry Todd was- third with 268. Oliver’s score was 19 under par and one stroke over the tournament record set in 1946 by Ben Hogan.—New York, Feb. 10.
