BORDER SKIRMISH
TWO BRITISH SOLDIERS MISSING CLASH WITHJUGOSLAVS LONDON, February 4. An unnamed British officer and one other rank are missing after a s>k:irmish on the Morgan Line between Jugoslav and British patrols, accoiding to a British Army statement quoted by the Trieste correspondent, of the Associated Press. The statement added that shots were exchanged in the skirmish, but the men are believed to be in the custody of the Jugoslavs. . Reports reaching London say that British general headquarters, Mediterranean Force, when obtaining permission for two members of the Jugoslav repatriation mission, Mr.. Glume and Mir. Engel, to visit a .Chetnik camp in the Naples area, emphasised that the British military authorities should not be responsible for their personal Scifoty • Mr. Glunic was killed and Mr. Engel injured when they visited the camp. „ . Reports reveal that when a British Army major on January 25 found Mr. Glunic and Mr. Engel in his office, he pointed out to them the foolhardiness of their visit to the camp. Chetnik demonstrators later broke into the major’s office, dragged the members of the mission outside, and set about them. The major unavailingly tried to interfere.
