“VAMPIRE ATTACKS”
AMATEUR BOXER ARRESTED IN PARIS (Rec. 2 p.m.) 1 . PARIS, February 5. The police are holding an amateur boxer, who is said to be showing signs of mental disorder, on suspicion of having, committed ‘‘vampire attacks” on women at Rueil, near Paris. The “vampire,” who leaps on women in lonely streets at night ill-treating and raping them has claimed at least three victims. The nude and mauled body of the “vampire’s” latest victim was found about three weeks ago in a pool of blood. . The .police set plain clothes men armed with automatic rifles and sub-machine-guns to patrol the streets.
