WITNESS IN CASE ADMITS CRIME (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 6. During the trial in the Supreme Court to-day of Henry Hedley Bryant Maunder, aged 33, a labourer, on a charge of the theft.of a wallet containing £ll from a fellow guest at a New Year party, a witness called by the defence, Leslie Scott, who is at present serving sentence in Mount Crawford gaol for the theft of a fur coat, stated that he, not Maunder, stole the wallet.
