Four Mouths In Launch To South Africa

(Rec. 11 a.m.)'LONDON, Feb. 4. After a four months' voyage from Rochester, Kent, a party of 28 British immigrants, including nine children, have safely arrived at Durban in the 112 ft launch Ivanstan, a former Royal Navy rescue craft. Despite slight engine trouble at Gibraltar and difficulties in obtaining supplies at East African ports, the party made the trip without any real setback. They hoped to spend Christmas at Aden but instead were compelled to shelter from a storm on an uninhabited volcanic island about 200 miles north of Aden, where snakes and eagles were their only companions. The owner of the launch, Mr S. J. Langley, intends to sell the vessel and settle in South Africa with the remainder of the party.
