JEWISH MOVEMENT

COMBATING WAVE OF - TERRORISM'/ ' \ TENSION IN PALESTINE (Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. .4. The temporary executive of the Jewish Agency met to work out a new “top secret.” plan to combat the current wave of terrorism, in which six British soldiets have’ been killed in the past 48 hours, says Reuter’s Jerusalem correspondent. A Jewish Agency spokesman said the situation had. become more dangerous and delicate during, the past 24 hours. He would not discuss the plan because its effectiveness depended on not giving the agency’s “weapons” any kind of publicity. “It is partly a question of influencing people’s minds 'by education and propaganda,” he said. The Haganah’s secret radio broadcast a denunciation of Jewish terrorists. It said: “Palestine is on the verge of a civil war brought about by a small group bf desperate members of the underground movement who are murdering British personnel and Jews. We shall have no alternative, but to' clean them from our midst.”
