T.U.C. COUNCIL AGAINST COMPULSION . : (Rec. 2 p'.m.) LONDON, Dec. 4. The TUC Advisory Council has repudiated the Willesden council s action in threatening to dismiss 51 and doctors unless they join the union. The TUC General Council is expected formally to ratify the decision of the Advisory Council. The chairman (Mr. Gibson) said: “We have never asked t b it the principle of compulsion should be applied to nurses.”
