Mr. Attlee, in a message to President Peron, said the successful negotiations demonstrate that the longterm interests of Britain and Argentina are parallel and not conflicting. “I am confident that Britain and Argentina can continue their long co-operation to the equal advantage of our peoples. Our two countries are looking to the future, not to the past.
